 February 1, 2010 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rocko the RiverHawk and Broadway Florist are available to help you play Cupid this Valentine’s Day.
The Rockford RiverHawks and Broadway Florist announced Monday their “Romance Special” package.
The Romance Special includes a dozen roses of any color, candy, three balloons, a stuffed teddy bear and two ticket vouchers for a RiverHawks regular-season home game. The package will be delivered to your significant other by Rocko himself. The price of the package is $200.
Delivery is available on Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 10-12. The package is available on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to the first eight orders for each of the three days.
“With the season approaching, it’s another way that people will be reminded that baseball season is just around the corner,” RiverHawks director of marketing and promotions Jeff Olerud said. “What other florist offers the opportunity to have one of Rockford’s sports icons personally deliver a Valentine’s package to your sweetheart? The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season in 2010.
