July 1, 2009 - During the Thursday July 2nd home game vs, Gateway, not only will you be entertained with Miller Lite $1 drafts, $2 bottles, a free t-shirt for the first 1,000 compliments of The Hemmens Culutral Center in Elgin, but you will be able to bid on special Independence Day Jerseys right off the players' backs.
During the game, visit the auction table behind the press box to bid on your favorite RiverHawks' jersey. The bidding will begin when the gates open and continue until the top of the 7th inning. Winners will be announced during the bottom of the 8th inning and the wining bidder will be able to receive the jersey right of the players' back.
Bidding starts at $60.
Stick around following the game for a spectacular Independence Day Fireworks display over center field compliments of Rock Valley College.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 17th season.
